Long Lake

Written by Administrator. Posted in Uncategorised

IMG 1668Long lake as its name suggests is a long narrow lake at around 2.5 acres, again tree lined and full of interesting bays with over hanging branches & reed lined margins, perfect for stalking a wary carp or margin fishing for catches of quality tench. The lake offers comfortable fishing with plenty of swims to choose from.

Depths of between eight and twelve feet cover the majority of the lake which remains relatively clear for most of the year. Large patches of lilies spring up during the summer months especially at the far end of the fishery.

Heavily stocked with tench in the 3-5lb range yet the lake also produces tench to 9+lb every season, shoals of bream to double figures and some very Impressive carp into the mid thirties, make this lake ideal fishing for the day angler, we are developing this lake specifically as a traditional tench fishery, This lake can now be fished on either our full permit or on a separate permit from the 2013 season onwards. A limited number of these permits are available every season check out our membership page for further details
